March saw Brooklyn native World Champion and two-time Olympian Fencer Nzingha Prescod spend time at Palm Heights. Nzingha founded and runs an award-winning community programme, Fencing in the Park, bringing fencing to young kids that wouldn’t typically have the opportunity to explore this sport. Nzingha spent her short residency in Palm Heights strategising the organisations visionary mission, scoping out Caribbean expansion of the community programme and talking fundraising tactics with visiting public interest project leads.
